Apparently white skin means higher class, richer and more likely to be prosperous. Last night in Battambang we had a walk around, went up to the bus station and jacked up a share taxi to pick us up this morning at 8.30am. Down at the riverside we ate ...

So off we went and ended up here at the "Natural Resort" which is quite lovely and a few steps up from the Happyday. We're resting today and preparing to cross into Cambodia tomorrow. According to some other cyclists we met on the road yesterday, Cambodia is about 20 years behind Thailand so we're a ...

... the view from Ark Hotel was indescribable. Water glistening in all shades of blue; crisp white sand bellowing in with the tide; the sun dipping down just below the horizon. A strange Thai boy insisting you play Connect Four. What!? Who the hell was this kid?

He seemed too innocent to be trusted. Timing his smile perfectly, he used his charm to bait every last foreigner into a harmless board game. The only problem, if you lost, you were forced to pay him 100 baht ($3 ...
