Day 1 Hammamet

After dinner we decided to investigate the entertainment - it was certainly interesting. There were semi-naked men playing with shards of glass, a bed of nails and swords. Did their mothers not teach them that those items are dangerous?!

The advantage of going this early is that i was not hassled by anyone as the locals were arriving/stall holders getting ready. Being an ex market stall lad (petticoat lane the real one that is!) i just went with the flow. Taxi (15DN) to Sousse. We wouldnt normally get taxis like this, but with four of us it was an easy option. Medina in Sousse was much bigger than in Monastir and walls on outside were impressive. Ribat was less interesting though, but still good views across to the Kasbah and ocean. Had lunch in a small cafe, just inside walls on far side ...
