... Ultimately, the receptionist came back and said everything was OK. Once I had the key, I went up to the room with the luggage, leaving Leslie in the lobby on the phone. She was still on the phone when I returned. It was shortly after 21:00 when she achieved success in our quest to get home. Our new routing was to Colorado Springs via DFW.

We had a glass of wine, a late dinner, and then retired for the remainder of the ...

We flew out of Heathrow on Monday morning, having been driven to the airport from Wiltshire by Nicola, bless her. We left Corton at 5.30am and were in good time for our flight at 9.30am. Then we boarded a ferry that took us around the miami islands, pointing ...

... Mangroves out into the lake. Little crabs darted away as we came. Another trail, the Mud Flat Trail, took us along the mud flats. We climbed the 5 story tower to get a really nice view of the area. There are 2 other longer trails that allow one to learn more about the mangrove ecosystem and give nice views of the Intercoastal Waterway. You can also canoe or kayak through the mangroves or on the lake. We rented a 2 man kayak for an hour and paddled through ...

... get out and find some clothes to wear tonight, all the clubs in Miami are strict dress code and we definitely had nothing to wear - we have been scumming it for months - most people here were on holiday with their nice new clothes eeeeeeeek. We quickly found me a hooker dress and some killer heels, I don't even wear heels back home it was going to be a challenge compared to my geek walking sandals I had been in for the last year, Marc managed ...
