Letchworth State Park sits astride a 600 foot deep gorge made by the Genesee River as it flows through the area. Some refer to it as the "grand canyon of the east". We do agree that the gorge does have an appeal, but it pales in comparison to the size and beauty of THE Grand Canyon.
