... able to take a few days each week to travel around, possibly even into France, and of course I could fly out and back and do city breaks if finance permits. But the six month adventure to Australia seems a long way away, as does a trip to Germany. As for random travel of the Twitter kind, that seems a lifetime away :(

... I'd actually bought a deluxe ticket which had a tour of the genuine TARDIS set used for filming up the road at BBC Wales (Cymru). Awesome! Well what can be said. The set tour was insanely good for me as a fan. Was surprised that it's very wooden, as it sounds metal on the show (floors, walls etc). Magic of TV! Zero great sights seen

Citroen were due to deliver the car 'around 9am' but being a French car delivered by French people on a Monday morning, no-one English was too hopeful of this timetable. However despite even the low expectations, time passes. And passes. And passes. At 11am we hear it'll be arriving soon. Finally at 1.30pm we get a call; the cars are here and we have fitted our telematics, come down and arrange insurance. ...

... that the base of that wall was built by the Romans and the rest was slowly built on top of it over 1000 years or so. The castle was lovely. You can tell that it doesn't get as many visitors as the Tower of London or Kensington Palace. Things are much more laid back, not so structured. You can pick up an audio guide and just wander. ... flavours of vodka which were amazing (although the cocktails were just as good!)

After the vodka bar we headed to a kiwi bar that we had spotted earlier in the day, a bar that was literally called the kiwi bar and had a massive NZ flag. Inside they had lots of NZ photos on the wall and they had a 'North Island' Bar and a 'South Island' Bar which was pretty cool. Shaun did have one complaint though, for a kiwi bar they only had one NZ beer!
