How did I manage to make it to adulthood?

A travel blog entry by michaelparsons on Nov 05, 2015

Our adventure begins with a very traffic-free drive down the M4 to Heathrow. After lots of chatting and swapping of sweets I realised that I had left something very important behind, on a chair in Whitchurch Primary School's staffroom. ... just because they could.

The Butes were hilariously extravagant as only rich Victorians can be, google them if ever you are in need of a high society giggle. Amongst other things, they built a house with the sole purpose of hurting the eyes. Gold plating, mosaics, woodcarving, peacock wallpaper, the works. This meant that there were a lot of rev heads around! It also meant a lot of colour with flags flying everywhere. The motor bike supporters all seemed to be wearing a uniform with their logo t-shirts on. Cardiff has lots of pedestrian shopping areas which ...

... Once we hit our final destination we were off and running again. We headed to Cardiff Bay. Images of dragons were everywhere with the phrase "Thar be dragons here". The Welsh love their dragons and Cardiff provides a great setting for such myths. It is a quaint little town that reminds me of Morro Bay on a weekday in the off season. Great little shops and restaurants and the most important thing is ..... The Doctor Who Experience. It is closed by the way, ...
