... hear over the announcements. We took this train to Carlisle, and then took another train to Edinburgh. Probably about 5.5hrs spent on trains today. We arrived at our Castle Rock Hostel right in Edinburgh and unfortunately we have to share the room with 10 other girls....hopefully that goes well! It's really foggy here and chilly...very different from London. When we ...

They are silent witness to hundreds of years of Irish history and reminders to all of us of where we have come from. New farming system Many of the existing walls are not as old as you might think. We lounged in bed a bit before getting up and getting ready to go down for breakfast which was included in the price of our stay here. We had a full English breakfast (eggs, thick slabs of bacon, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans and tomatoes), minus the beans ...

We set off into the site and first you go through the displays which tell each sides ...

... the stage until shortly before the fireworks where we went to find a better spot to see them. For the amount of people there (80,000 just for the street party and there was also a concert in the garden) you would think the fireworks show would have been a little longer than 2 minutes. However, they did light some off every hour for the 3 hours before midnight so I guess that adds 3 more minutes to the overall display. However, watching fireworks in the middle ...
