Speaking of which, that will be our last chance to visit the town's National Gallery, which has been closed for the holiday so far. Hopefully it will be open tomorrow, as it has several paintings by Joys boyfriends and it is in the beautiful and historic Ducal ...

We had been advised by our hotel, when we booked our accommodation, that we should book our dinner for New Years Eve as everywhere would be fairly crowded. They kindly gave us a small list of places and we decided on La Trattoria del Leone (di Mauro Lucarini) as being our sort of place..... And we duly downloaded a menu and chose what we fancied on it.....

    Antipasti
    Zupetta di legumi e pomodoro
    Prosciutto ...
