... with Mum a while until the little boy next to Mum projectile vomited everywhere. Thank goodness for open air waiting rooms! While Mum helped the other mum clean up the mess, Daddy decided to exit 'stage left’ with us kids and take us for a walk around town.
At this point, Daddy was reminded just how lovely everyone in Guadeloupe is. Jackson decided he was hungry so Daddy went in search of some fruit, which is not too hard to find on a ...
... baby stuff. I have enjoyed eating what the rest of the family are eating. Real teeth are designed for real food, and I do a pretty good job devouring it!! In addition to the fresh fruit, I have enjoyed eating baguettes and croissants!
I too enjoyed my cuddles with Heloise and Juliette and look forward to seeing them and their parents again.
Special thanks to Heloise and Juliette for their wonderful photos!
We were all so jetlagged that we fell into a deep sleep on the flight from Miami to Pointe-a-Pitre, the capital of Guadeloupe. We thus sadly missed our first glimpses of paradise from the air, awaking only as we landed at the airport. It was initially trouble in paradise as Mum and Dad had to deal with two tired and crying kids.
Mum soon calmed us down and we joined the end of the queue to clear ...
Yesterday We tendered into the French village of Terre-de-Haut and wandered around this quaint, very French little community on the island of Guadeloupe. the island was smattered with electric cars and motor bikes and i rather fancied hitting the streets in these little electric Smart cars but we seemed to have left our run a little late, following the arrival of the local ferry which saw the little village swarming with Caribbean ...
... with Guadeloupe is that it's a French speaking nation so if you don't speak French you can find yourself stranded somewhere.. or that was my fear... also they only take Euros which Cristina had told me but I thought we could get some onboard, as it turns out we couldn't! There were a lot of conflicting reports about walking around the port/town area, some said it was dirty and they felt unsafe and others said they didn't have any problems so I wasn't taking any ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Caraib'Bay Hotel Deshaies
I have stayed with my husband at the Caraib Bay hotel for my honeymoon. It was great. The hotel is lovely and is composed of 6 bungalows which got 2 accomodations (semi detached if you want). All bungalows feels very secluded in a very well-looked after tropical gardens. It is over two floors and the bedroom upstairs is very spacious with a double bed and a single bed you also have a child bed if you need one. Downstairs there is a lounge, bathroom and a tiny kitchen (in a cupboard) -But we never used it...There is also a terrace with a table and chairs.
The best word to sum up our stay at this lovely place is "Excellent".
What an amazing garden with 2 storeys lovely cabanas! Ideal for families and romantic couples.
Charming place for families and lovers of Nature
We staid 10 wonderful days in the Caraib Bay Hotel. The place is wonderful, in a nice tropical park.
You feel like at home. You have your own bungalow with a lovely terrasse where you can rest, eat, take a drink.... before going to the swimming pool or to the beach.
The owners and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The owners give you a lot of advice for your stay.
The situation of this hotel is perfect for lovers of mountain and sea. We used to do some hiking in the morning and then go snorkeling in the afternoon. But we also did some canyoning, kayak and other fun activities.
So if If you love nature, sport, in a quiet and relaxing place then I recommend you to go to the Caraib bay hotel.
