      ... brinjal bhaji, pithale, varan all piping hot along with side dishes of papad, salad, thecha and buttermilk. This was really home made on earthen stove (chool) with peculiar village style and with aroma of smoke. After dinner, we enjoyed a camp fire lit for us. It was quite cold so this fire was required to warm us up. Then we went in the hut and played cards again before retiring to bed.

      Oh! I almost forgot to tell you about Lavasa. It is at the top of the mountain. I would guess the elevation is about 5000 feet. It is rain forest all around the small town so everything is beautifully green. Because it is rainy season, the clouds are sitting on the top of the mountain giving it a beautiful, but eerie feeling.
