It was 23degrees Celsius and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We spent the morning sitting in our beach chairs in our jeans enjoying the sound of the waves and reading our books. It was nice to finally be in warm weather but we knew it wasn’t going to last. They were called for a low of 2degrees that evening and we were not looking …

4)not to supersize meals, we don't get to run it off, ...

Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

      Looking for southern charm

A travel blog entry by ktchris on Nov 16, 2014

In the morning we took the Brew Masters advice and went to Bon Appetit. I looked up the restaurant and it turns out it's a pretty popular place. Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill have both been filmed there, Robert DeNiro celebrated his 50th birthday there and they were voted by TheKnot.com as the best wedding caterer. All these things pointed to a good breakfast and we wanted to go classic southern. Chris ordered Chicken and Bacon Waffles (The bacon was ...
