Usually this is ok but Luke was of course 'busting' for the toilet and when you don't know where you are heading it can make it seem like it takes a long time to get there!! ... Amsterdam cycle everywhere. It is so great. You actually have to be careful that you don't get hit by a bicycle because there are that many bikes. After my run I had a shower at the hostel and re-packed my bags so I could check out. I spend the morning in Amsterdam just wandering the streets, taking photos and going into a few shops. ... of the guys still left in Amsterdam before seeing what the line for the Anne Frank Museum was like. People wait in line for about 3 hours usually.
When we arrived at 8:00 a clerk said the line would be 1.5 hours and the museum closes at 10 and takes 1 hour to complete so we would not have time to do it. The line however made great haste and we made it in at exactly 9pm. It worked perfectly and made it out just as it closed.
