... luggage. Surrounded by every designer brand shop imaginable, we stopped for a coffee and watched the world go by for 30 minutes. At the equivalent of $18 AUD for two cappuccino's, it was obvious this would be our only coffee in Capri! From there it was a very scary bus ride to Anacapri, the small village higher up and less touristy. The road leading up barely accommodates two small cars let alone two buses passing side by side, and the meagre ...

Well, it was an effort to get to Anacapri. A 45 minute wait for the ferry, a 25 minute ferry ride, another 45 minute wait for the bus all in the sun and wind, so we really enjoyed our pizza and Campari for lunch. The single chair lift ride up to the top was so peaceful and the view so spectacular that it made up for ...

We passed to time by watching an Italian game word show and trying to work out what was happening. To our surprise we wee able to identify words and meanings. We again were awed by the mighty Vesuvuis. When we got back we discovered a very cheap bus to the train station. Unfortunately while Sue was buying the tickets it came! We then had to ...

... we definitely could not afford to actually buy anything here). We then decided to sit at a cafe overlooking the cliff and town of Capri. We shared a pizza, chatted with a couple next to us from Windsor, and again, enjoyed the view. Following lunch, we walked around a bit more, passing stores such as Rolex, Ferragamo, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. We did find a few reasonable boutiques, and Sarah purchased a pair of purple, knit shorts. After an hour or so, we decided ...

Fun in the sun at Capri Island

... trip around the island of Capri, we hired out a private boat for the rest of the afternoon with another two men and two women from our tour. It was so much fun! We first went to the 'White Grotto' a place where there is a naturally formed statue in a high up cave that looks like Mary. This place had great places to go jump off rocks. There was one spot that we estimated to be about 15 meters high. Nathan was the first to jump off it and I ...
