So, now we really didn’t have any plans so we were going to have to improvise. The kids had been wobbling around the streets for about four hours by this stage so we needed to find something fun or they would not be fun. Earlier we had seen a 'mirror maze’ that had grabbed the kids attention so we headed back to find it (a challenge in itself - perhaps ...
... anything and everything within their eyeline. Oh, the joys of sightseeing. It took us a good half hour and although its grandeur was apparent, with incredible stained glass windows and highly decorated tombs, Mattijs and I agreed that we had been more impressed with the church we had found down a side street the previous day (see photos).

... that the galleries are undersold. The national gallery has some world class art in it, but needs renewing and better marketing. With all the thousands of people in town, ************e was at the gallery - he was almost alone! It is spread over four buildings and it is almost impossible to find out what is where. He is sore tonight and trying to soak it out in a bath because he walked something like 10 km to see it all today. He didn't have me to slow him down! ...
... midday and went for a walk with a girl to the castle to try and sober me up. The fresh air was good, but I was still really hung over at the end of it. The cathedral by the castle was more impressive than I remember. I always say I prefer the outside because the the gothic look but the stain glass inside is just incredible. On the way back to the old town we met Rebecca on Charles bridge. She got in really late and had just woke up and she decided to go for a walk to sober herself ...
... any of them had summer items going out cheap in preparation for her return home. I just followed her and made the occasional (sometimes helpful) suggestion. We visited a Bohemia crystal shop with the intention of maybe picking some nice glassware up but ended up deciding to give them a miss as the whole ‘how-do-we-get-them-home’ conundrum was just too much.
