... boarded a little bus which took us up to the top where there was a church with a guardian protecting those below. Cemetery was interesting with families having to buy little houses to bury their dead as they are not allowed to bury them in the ground. On bus again to a little village which proved a bit annoying as we were there for over an hour and nothing to see or do. Last day in Corsica - back to Ajaccio
... went for a long walk on the city Corso and browsed the local market selling all sorts of antiques and not so antique things.
Boarded the ferry on time at "pm and headed home to Toulon to the sound of a pianist playing the Titanic theme from Celine Dion... not encouraging but no iceberg except in our drinks...
What a beautiful trip, going back next time to do the northern part (Cap Corse and Bastia region plus the centre)

Left Calvi early morning and took another goat track to the village of San Antonino. Visit and coffee then back on the main road to Corte where we arrived for another nice lunchtime salad.
