A short driving day today - about 3 1/2 hours, to Perry, which is just west of Topeka. Sherry and Joe, old friends of Greg's from 20-some years ago when he worked in Custer, South Dakota, had asked that we stop for a visit on our way past, and we are SO glad we did, because we had a wonderful afternoon and evening with them. ... has been mostly driving to get where we want to be.  As usual we changed our route a little but still going to the same places.  Decided to go to Colorado next instead of last. They have already been having alot of snow out there.  Well tonight we stayed at  Quality Inn not near as nice as the one last night but couldn't find a Drury Inn tonight. We left NYC on July 26th - Had lunch with Todd at the Country Kebab then went to the closing -- right after the closing we went to our former home, picked up our last remaining belongings, spent a wonderful 45 minutes with Parham, and headed to the airport for the first of many flights to follow.
