... square in Khasab, with the locals, sitting on plastic chairs… no high-rises anywhere, a gentle breeze and no particular place to be at, except where we were. Too bad Fabyan is such a social bird that he could not come. He would have enjoyed the half day dhow cruise and seeing the coloured fish while we snorkelled, or admired the many dolphins who followed the boat for a while.

19-20/10 Lots of transport to the Northern area
Woke up rather early. Waited for the breakfast. The owner wanted to
renegotiate the price again, from 20 to 25 Rial ( ~500 SEK)…..with no hot
water, no curtains and empty tins for breakfast – NOPE! We did some pronto and
drove for Khasab. Passed the border in 30 min’s and it was nice to be back in
UAE.
During the ride we could see that rain had fallen from Sohar to
Josannah. Lots of water on the roads! Strange to see ...

Taking a ferry from Muscat to Khasab

However, as I expected, it was a crowded mess of cars – 10 businesses including 4 restaurants and only 40 parking places at lunchtime. Dhow Cruise
