... We also got a small selection of chocolates to take home. The Burj al Arab is a stunning building and the foyer is huge. It was a great experience to be there and enjoy our high tea. ... the day did get better from here. We made our way to the "creek" (I still think it's a river) and hopped on a small boat that took us up and down the... "Creek" and then to the gold Souk. ... pre customs, one is after customs. Every person had hand luggage examined by hand despite the fact we had been scanned three times since leaving Rome. The woman who did mine looked quite fierce, but she was nastier to her colleague than she was to me, so she was probably just having a bad day.
