... 4-lane highway, complete with a new bridge over the bay. As we got closer to the I-10 we could see just how much of the forest was removed to allow room for the new road.
Once we hit the I-10 it was smooth sailing, but a bit boring. Our only stop was at a rest area to allow the three of us to check out the plumbing. It was a beautiful area, carved out of the forest. It served our purpose so off we went once again. Between ...
Maybe Tallahassee should have been in Mississippi. The flight from Fort Pierce showed the highest risk of weather challenges. Not so much "weather"' but the potential for turbulent skies for the full 2.5 hour trip. Already hot and windy on the ground in Fort Pierce, there were some cumulus with moderate vertical development evident to the north, visible even from the ground. Sounds like a shot gun with lots of smoke. Cool for me but not too cool for the driver I would think. 10:30 a.m. we entered ...
Sad to leave Biloxi, but it's time to move on as more great things await us. Heading East on I-10 hoping to make Tallahassee. First we have to drive through Mobile, Alabama , Pensacola Florida, then into Tallahassee. Mobile, was very interesting and wished we could have stopped and stayed there a few days, but time is counting down fast. I ...
... west for the first time on this RV adventure, so are on the downhill side of the trip. We got as far as Tallahassee, so are still in Florida, which is a huge state. We took some back roads and saw horse farms and peanut farms. This part of the state, except for Tallahassee, is rural. At this rate, we should be home within a few weeks. There are no longer any specific places that we want to visit, except one friend in Las Vegas, so we may make good time.
