Back on board ship we learned how to make Russian pancakes and attended a Russian Holiday celebration in the dining room around tea time where they served us pancakes with caviar & black currant jam. The pancakes and jam were wonderful. We ...

Part of the cultural program was to visit a local school in the nearby town of Kirillov. Since it was Saturday, there were not too many students hanging around, only those giving the tours. Our school tour was given by Katya, an 11the grade student. Her English was amazing, she not only gave the tour but was able to answer ...

Then a visit to monastery of Kirillo-Belozersky on the edge of the White Lake. It is a huge complex of churches and other buildings and is more ...
