... every which way, willy nilly all over the place, it is common for there only to be room for one car to pass so cars are constantly reversing to let someone past before they get their turn through the gap.....and yet if that gap is outside a shop they want to enter then well "shoulder shrug"style I guess, they just park there, as in RIGHT THERE!!! If someone comes driving through the village and can't get through due to parked cars they just honk on their horn until the person comes ...

... tower houses up on hill we were passing. Checked out a cemetery up near the tower houses - was full of little houses that had the crypts inside.

Drive down to the tip was just breathtaking scenery, rugged mountains, plungig down into the sea below. Bit sad at the end as this represented the further point on the trip - it's all homeward bound now.

Drove back up to Gythio, and spent the night in a restaurant carpark, right on the water ...

... and it is cheap! A cappuccino for me and a beer for Sam, €5. The water is and was divine! Small pebbles to walk on so it was easy & comfortable to walk on, not like St Jacobs beach. The water was refreshing and warm enough to make it really easy to get wet. No waves at all and crystal clear, it gets deep quickly and then it got so that we could stand in it again further out. ...

Because Gythion port is shallow, we had to tender into the port, this means get the little ship from the big ship into the port. Gythion was beautiful. I bought my fridgemagnet and a little greek urn. In the next shop the man was very friendly giving me hugs and patting me on the head. I bought a religious wall hanging there and a sarong from another place. We then decided it was food time so I bought some lovely chocolate ...
