We have been staying at the cutest gasthof I have ever seen! It is a newly built barn conversion with modern facilities and it is in a very remote location. ... through it. There isn't much to do here apart from walk up to the Schloss on top of the hill at one end of town. But luckily, the weather has been kind to us and on Sunday there was blasting sunshine!
We met with a friend, David Taylor, who also works for Vienna's English Theatre and went to dinner with him. His knowledge of Austria is incredible and he has enough anecdotes that could last for days! A very nice evening had by all.

Today I got up with the plan of simply taking a quick trip across to Giau Pass and then returning to the hotel to take a walk over to the Dolomites right over the road from the hotel.
However, things did not work out that way and while riding the passes I realized the time was going faster than it should have been and so knew I had no chance of getting back early enough for a walk around ...
... which is not always possible.
Now that I'm staying here for another two nights it means I can leave most of my goods at the hotel and head off on my bike with only my camera equipment in tow.
