First ten days.....

The Dolomites are just extraordinary. It is very different from the Trois Vallees. Chris said Kate Moss compared to Kate Upton. Although we are in Italy this area was Austrian until 19th century so it is an interesting mix of cultures. The food here is hands down the best I have had in Europe. Day18 Xmas Day

... exception.   We left there after walking in the rain and headed back home to drive to the restaurant that we were going to for our Xmas  lunch. The restaurant was beautiful - we had a 6 course meal and we were all so incredibly full  after the 4 hours we were there for. Wine, starters, bread, a hot meal, dessert - you name it we had it. Day 17 - Tues 24th- Ben's Birthday

Baz and I woke up early to sort out Ben's little cakes. Baz ducked out early to purchase some along with candles. e We all got up, showered and had breakfast, coffee, gave Ben his presents and sang Happy Birthday. Baz rang up Paola to ask her to come out to dinner to the restaurant that we first went to with them. Paola had said that they would be arriving later at about 6ish and said that she will meet us at the restaurant. We just hung around during that day - going for walks ...

Day15 - Rest Day Agoro

... Ended up getting our Xmas purchases and felt pleased.  We also bought some ingredients to make Xmas shortbread. Remembering how the recipe goes was a challenge and as a consequence the biscuits were a bit of a flop-they spread out too much and crumbled. It seemed like they needed more flour.
