Go LIAT air..woohoo.

Bequia is just a short flight and quick ferry away. We can smell it now...

Update... we did not make it to Bequia today. Our 11am Liat flight was ...

Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia 4thegoodtimes... the earplugs, tucked under my mosquito net and into bed. This is definitely a resort for those who want to be close to nature, as it was coming in my bedroom. At one point there was a gecko sat on the net right above my head, im sure he knew he was winding me up! I did however wake up at the crack of dawn due to the good old body clock, and got up to watch the sunrise in my hammock. Aaaah, bliss!
Kat Hayter
Rodney Bay, Minas Gerais, Saint Lucia kat-hayter... so the thought of spotting a bottlenose dolphin or a monkey is filling me with the excitement of a kid at Christmas! Perhaps zip wiring and snorkelling will help get me up close and personal with some of the wildlife St Lucia has to offer. I am also looking forward to trying some local food. I love cooking and eating, but the extent of my knowledge of Caribbean food is Levi Roots’ Reggae Reggae ...
Rodney Bay, Minas Gerais, Saint Lucia kat-hayter... Sulfur Springs, im so glad the rotten egg smell change to a delightful fresh air. Then we proceed to the final tour which is at the Torraille Fall. Since we dont have enough time, we just spend some 25 minutes there. The falls is small, but i submerge myself quickly to check out the water. Wow the water was great, its not cold nor warm..perfect! Its time to go back to the ship...again we pass ...
Castries, Saint Lucia ri-anne.cruz... a manual process! He then ate the final product and passed some around for us to taste. We then made our way to an open-aired building where we savored a sumptuous Creole buffet lunch and beverage. Here, I was able to find some vegetarian dish which was delicious! Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia momentsintime... markets and have lunch local style. Most offering are the same as on other islands just with the name changed. I managed to buy a few Christmassy things in Europe (pudding, custard, chocolates) not knowing what would be available in the shops here on the islands. Lucky as there wasn't much to choose from and the prices were pretty frightening but thanks to those Kiwis and their sheep we were able to secure a leg of lamb ($70 AUD) for our Christmas dinner. The weather here ...
Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia bellavita... landmark. We finally drove into the town of Soufriere, a small town nestled at the base of one of the Pitons. From here, we drove into the world's only drive through volcano. Most of the volcano had been blown away in a huge eruption but you can still see evidence of volcanic activity in the remains. When we got out of the van, the first thing you noticed was the smell of sulfur. We walked over to the edge of a railing and on the other side, you can see the sulfuric gases ...
