    ... beautiful sunset.

    Sunday 28 June
It's hot and the anchorage is filling with day visitors. Today we're not doing much, just hanging around catching up on stuff – chores, maintenance and most of all research.

    Monday 29 June
After lots more research and we've come to a bit of a decision re wintering.
Plan A was Greece – now out of the question due to economic crisis and soooo much
    uncertainty.

    Tuesday 23 June
We wanted to take advantage of the wind so left Motril fairly early in the morning. The
wind was quite strong – at times blowing F6 but at least on the bum. Got some pretty good sailing and surfing in at times as the swell picked up to around 1.5m.

    ... the 23/24 June.

We visited a good crag out at Elda which faces south east which meant we could get out there at about 4pm and climb in the shade until it got dark.

The coastal area also has a number of salt marshes and bird reserves. Managed to see some different birds including a Glossy Ibis and Whiskered Turn but was too hot and the wrong time of year to see much more.

... area climbs up to over 400 metres from the plain along a narrow twisty road. Thankfully we didn't meet any other large vehicles, another good reason for getting a small van. Its a popular local park as well as a climbing area, so we could imagine what it will be like at the weekends or holidays. The view from the top, back over the city, was great. We did a ...
