So, yesterday was our second full day in Beijing, and I must say, I think that it was better than the first. We started off by visiting the Temple of Heaven, which was an absolute blast! The whole place is like a gigantic park in which groups of people are practicing dances singing, or my personal favorite, playing Jianzi. ... We all knew there was a hard sell but despite our determination not to get sucked in - they had probably a 90% strike rate.
It started off with students walking in with buckets of very hot water. For the 20 minute duration of the general talk we sat with our feet soaking. I don't think it was just hot water but couldn't tell what was in it.
