... assemble for a flag ceremony. At sunrise the national flag is raised, and in the evening it is taken down, with much pomp. Soldiers kitted out in official attire carrying white swords marched in impeccable timing while the local tourists all took photos on their smartphones. ... polluted mugginess, the air being so thick you could chew on it. Nothing can prepare you for the amount of people that are crawling all over the capital station! We scramble through the. ... t eat any more. Yesterday I had a dodgy stomach, so I just ate half a plate of fried rice for lunch and another half plate for dinner. It was so good.

... Pagoda that looks over the Forbidden City and Beijing. The park that the Pagoda is in marks the spot where one of China's Emperor's hung himself when Beijing was under siege.
