The Rock of Gibraltar was very visible as we docked this morning. A mere 800metres from the dock and we were in the town centre at Casemate Square. Historically, Gibraltar would have always been on the defensive, even today Spain makes moves for control. It is strategically located and fuel, alcohol and jewellery are duty free. ... had started to brighten up and we had lunch in a little square sheltered from the wind. Later in the afternoon we braved the roof terrace for a while until the sun couldn't outdo the wind so we came indoors. ... pasta man. Ken and I had 4 empanadas, shared. Then they each had a giant (really, giant) piece of chocolate cake. Then coffee. Ken and I gave it up mid way thru the fourth empanadas. We did each have a beer. We went to dinner at a trendy restaurant (really, trendy, we waited in line) on Friday night.
