    ... was across the road & patients came in with prescriptions & came back an hour later to collect immense packages of dried plants which they take home, infuse & then drink the result. Watching the technicians preparing these potions was so interesting.     ... Russian for some reason and were very excited when they realized I understood them. The Silk Market Mall had really beautiful silk bedding and clothes but everything was very expensive, the bedding was usually 2000-4000 yuan for a set (which isn't terrible in US dollars but still pricey!) One store had a bunch of beautiful embroidered scrolls for sale of the four seasons and different places in China. By then we were tired so we headed back to school.
