... many times she has viewed this movie. Let me just say she has worn out five VHS tapes and three DVD's.

To be there was just great, to be able to walk on the field, walk around the bases, and to see the house that was in the movie, the white picket fence, the bleaches that you can sit on was wonderful. The bonus, it costs you absolutely zero to do all that.

The majority of the movie site including the house, infield, right field and part ...

Had dinner at a nearby cafe also overlooking the river. I tried cat fish and Wes had a smoked Iowa chop. Watched a boat push 12 barges down the river. Barges are tied together.

Today was really special. A baseball team called the Ghosts, walked out of the corn and played baseball in the field dressed in 1920s White Sox uniforms I think. It was a scene right out of the movie and there were several hundred people there to enjoy it.

We dropped down under the clouds and into the turbulence, but Alex was fine with that. The reason we'd come down early was to look for the location where the movie Field of Dreams was shot. We found it, in part because if you look very closely on the FAA's Sectional chart, "Field of Dreams" is actually marked! We orbited the field once, dashed into Dubuque to pick up a rental car, then headed right back to the ball field.
