The guy checking us in beamed with glee and took a sharp intake of breath when he noticed the dent in the rear of the car.     We jumped on a tour bus that dropped us off at the Capitol Building in DC this morning and will pick us back up early this evening. So nice to have someone else drive!

    We check in to the Embassy Suites then head out for a stroll. We get to P Street and things are starting to look familiar. I walked down this street once a few years ago and went to a pretty cool bar. So I take Helen to the "Beer Baron" for a drink. Choosing a drink in this place isn't as easy as you'd think as they have over 600 beers to choose from. Yeah really! Day 2 is spent around Georgetown.     ... was a refreshingly warm starbucks!! as we drank from our warm cups, we headed across the path to the zoo. i always enjoy going to zoos as i am so fond of animals, but i was slightly disappointed here as most of the animals were not on show as it was too cold. however we still got to see the elephants, the pandas and wolves so i was a happy girl :). once we had finished at the zoo and Zac had directed us on a mini tour through the back streets and up the biggest ...

    ... planes needing the de-icing chemicals that they ran out of the darn stuff! Plus, there was three different mechanical malfunction on the plane. The maintenance guys fixed the first two but then they discovered they did not have the right tools to fix the third problem...WHAT???? My trust level plummeted at that point.
