Survived a wild ride down the bay. Some of the roughest conditions we have experienced on the Chesapeake. Big waves. 30+ kt winds and lots of driving rain. Enjoyed our new cockpit enclosures as well as the heater we installed below. The AIS system which allowed us to identify ships during the night was a big help.

Navy ships don't use AIS so we slowed to enter Hampton Roads after sunrise. Still, with heavy ...

Thursday evening we had a birthday party at Aunt Jan's mum's place, as her brother Jerry had a birthday on the same day. It was a lovely evening, lots of stories and chatting and even an epic birthday cake with everyone singing 'Happy Birthday' and Jerry's daughter vying for the privelage to blow out candles! It was a nice close to a very blessed day. ...

Earlier this summer me and Joe went on a cruise with my family and we met some amazing people. When we got back we missed them so much, we had to see them again! We visited Chesapeake to see Dipan, Joel and Kristina. We made it down on a Monday morning after spending a night in RVA. We arrived at Dipans house and were greated by his blob of a pup, Raja, the sweetest waddling thing... and Dipan's smiling face! It was so nice to see him again. We went in and met some of ...
