So I leave tomorrow! (That's a lie, it's past 3 AM, so I leave later today.) For those of you catching up, I'm going to Senegal for six weeks with VA Tech to study French and hopefully I won't embarrass myself too much. For a normal, functioning ...

Uneventful trip to Dulles with the typical 5 pm traffic of a week day and a fast check in and security screening. Only two people asked me if I was going somewhere cold... Probably because it is 80 degrees outside and I'm dressed like an Eskimo with a big heavy coat with fur and knee high boots. I don't care though and I laugh because I'm just thrilled to have packed everything in just a carryon and a back pack. I could ...

The Plan - US Capitol and National Archives What really happened - We are all really settled into Washington. Owen is still preferring Seattle as a place to live, but I must admit Washington is my kind of town ( though not as great as Chicago!) We get up early to see the Library of Congress before our scheduled tour of the US Capitol ( the equivalent of our Houses of Parliament). The library is a spectacular building with a fantastic lobby, ...
