... the laundry room, and a playground. We played on the playground until dinner (barbecue chicken, green beans, potatoes and cantaloupe). After dinner we went to the pool to cool off. It was in the upper 90's today. Daddy threw us into the water. It was fun! After the pool, Jackson and I played cars at the campsite then went to the playground until it was time for bed. ...

So I have been hampered by technology. My phone broke. Ok so maybe I broke my phone. Iphones don't bounce. Sad times. This means I do not have a working mobile. It also means I can't take photos. Technical support is on it ;) It ALSO means I have no blinking alarm. Kettie's home friend travelling with us for 8 days so I have been upgraded to a single room. Therefore lacking in alarms.

... Osama Bin Laden. We owe so much to these brave men! We passed through Sedgwick, Kansas where my Howell/Bowersox family is from. I plan to stop there on my return part of trip. I have a whole new family to research....my biological father, Howard Osborn. Our next stop will be Denver to spend 4 days with Susan, Ty and girls. ... shop in Hayes...stopped at a the Firetender Trading Post in Russell...saw a couple of storm chaser vehicles (didn’t get a picture of the one that looked like a tank)....saw THOUSANDS of wind turbines for a 40 mile stretch east of Hayes...got into the motel in Salina around 6...went to dinner at Hickory Hut BBQ for great ribs...back to the motel to ...

... life and the cows which never seem to care if they have any life left. Most of
the farms along the way were drenched, looking more like marshes and ponds than
anything resembling human food. We spotted 4-5 different waterfowl flying
around, looking for a fishing spot where no lakes or rivers flow. It seems that
the entire central US has become a water world. Tomorrow the cornhusker state
and my first piece of natural history.
