Finally at Devil's Den!

... Devil's Den Trail (1.5 miles). Although this was not a very long trail, there were lots of large rocks and side trails to see; Alaina and Ivy scampered around like mountain goats! There was also the Devil's Ice Box (felt so good in here!), Twin Falls (just a trickle), and Devil's Den cave, although we could not go in the cave. All caves except one are closed to the public in Arkansas because of the white nose syndrome that is killing ...

Up very early for flight from Jackson to DFW then home. Girls are getting dropped off in St Louis at their Dad's then Charley is home to Dublin. Hopefully their travel will be ok. Delta is trying to make it diff. Some tears shed and the Memo wave at the airport. Great vacation and perfect family to travel with. I am a very blessed man. We made it home safe. Beautiful day today about 30C with low humidity, great for my last tour of the area. Today I thought I would take it easy and take a relaxed journey this time. Well, that lasted about two curves and then I poured on the heat :-).

The tour was not too picturesque. Trees when I was in the forest and farms when out. The 'mountains' are not bit or have interesting rock formations so not too many photo's. Of course there is the food shot where I was at a Mexican restaurant built into a hill. I had a Bloody mary because there was no Bavarian beer on tap ;-)

After getting up early to quit the motel and get to McD's to deliver yesterdays blog I had an easy three hour ride to Eureka Springs where I planned to stay for three nights. Not having reservtions (never do) I found this place Sherwood Court Inn where I booked a cabin instead of the usual motel room. Have posted pice for you ladies to check ...
