    ... the waitress what they were (we told her they were shoes as far as we knew) she insisted we tried them. They had the look of a small scotch egg deep fried and coated with breadcrumbs, but inside was a potato consistency that tasted wonderful but of no one thing.     ... the Meadow. Cooks heat the stone in an oven or on a grill and it retains heat while imparting some flavor. It also makes for an unusual presentation. I jumped at the chance to feast on half-price sushi at the happy hour at Uchu Sushi and Fried Chicken (3940 N Mississippi Ave). Great deal! Two orders of sushi for $9-- remember, no tax!

    It always seems that by the last few days of the trip, we are so tired that we can't make a full day of touring.
