      Lunch at Harpers Ferry where the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers converge, as do the states of West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland. A very old and historic town - could ramble for hours.

      Travelled via the pretty Catoctin Mountain area. We have had some great drives through the countryside, getting off the highways when we can.

      ... of a bolted brick wall. It was a new sensation compared to other rock types. But I got over it and it was actually pretty sweet. I am not the best at fingerlocking and you bet your butt there was a variety of that. We did a few routes before a group of child spectators came along and through me off focus.       ... Iron Works building, stroll through the famous Shockoe Slip and Shockoe Bottom areas of the city, and get to see Zombies stroll. However, the most important part of our stay in this lovely southern city is the time we got to spend reconnecting with our son and family.

      ... the Meadow. Cooks heat the stone in an oven or on a grill and it retains heat while imparting some flavor. It also makes for an unusual presentation. I jumped at the chance to feast on half-price sushi at the happy hour at Uchu Sushi and Fried Chicken (3940 N Mississippi Ave). Great deal! Two orders of sushi for $9-- remember, no tax!

      ... plane, it's going to be longer than an hour, because it will take half that to get us all off and back on again.

      Three hours later, they called us to re-board.

      My 2.5 hour layover in Houston completely gone; I would only make my connecting flight if it was also delayed from wherever it was coming from, but Houston is a hub, so it may originate there. We'll find out...in the next entry.
