Day 2 Wednesday November 12th I made it! Yesterday was such a looooong day. I went for lunch with mum before being dropped off at Terminal 3 for my 3.15 flight. The wait at the airport wasn't too long and before long I was on the VS23 to LAX. On board, I watched a couple of movies, listened to my iPod and read Glamour for the duration of the 11-hour flight. He was raised in New Zealand and within 5 minutes of talking to him, he was telling me that i needed to phone his parents and stay with them during my trip. He does sportscasting for ESPN for lumberjack competitions. He (John Hughes) gave me some tips on travel routes through New Zealand and advice for driving on the left side of the road, and boght me a beeer as well. Very nice fellow!

Well I finally got here! After a pretty long trip, 2.5 hours from Costa Rica, 4 hour wait due to missing my connection and a 5 hour flight to LAX. That and first gaining 3 hours then losing 4 again makes it ******* the head, particularly when the time gap to UK is actually greater than I realised. I believe its around 8 hours...
