    Left the American Queen very early and were driven up their new circular ramp in golf buggies. Then onto a bus for a tour around the city. On the way we "accidentally" picked up a chap who was loitering about with his guitar.     ... in the states is a fraught business. Normally you get given a half in bars so when someone offers you a tall beer you think, oh good a pint! Not always so. Twice tonight I staggered back from the bar with litre plastic buckets. My hat drew several admiring remarks, so a perfect evening all told.     ... we were still early. We found yet another cafe and ordered some Sprite to drink and used their WC. This claimed to be the oldest cafe in Reyjavik. Soon the shops opened up and we enjoyed strolling down the cobble stone streets and talking to the shop keepers.
