We started today by heading to downtown Oklahoma City for the OKC National Memorial and Museum on the 1995 bombing. This was a very somber and moving experience. The memorial includes vacant chairs for each of the 168 victims. They use small chairs to depict the 19 children in the day care center who were killed. Oh, and I forgot to mention that we went to the Holy City, where apparently some pastor held an Easter morning service in 1929, and it grew from there with a reenactment of the crucifixion and all the biblical stories in between, costumes, and everything. Hard to believe that people would come out to this place in the absolute Boonies for a religious reenactment, but ...

In the middle of no where we stopping for dinner at a place called molly's it was full of handmade trinkets and artwork. Had a lovely meal beats all this fast food.

Literally... today we drove from Springfield to Oklahama City, through Kansas. Kansas owns only13 miles of the route 66 road, so it was a quick trip through this state.
