      ... was almost 6 miles round trip and went along an old gravel road to a scenic overlook. The trail goes through a large pasture that supposedly is home to a somewhat aggressive buffalo herd, so we were cautioned (on the map & by the ranger) to be extremely careful and stay far away from the buffalo.       ... shoulder. I looked and just over a small ridge about 40 yards away are the bison!! Luckily...they were on the side of the fence I just left!! I stood a long time at the gate filming and taking pictures of them, but when they started walking towards the gate I started to walk away.       Left home at 6:30am this morning. My Aunt Carol Thomas, whom I dearly loved and admired, passed away this week. Attended her funeral in Corydon this morning and burial in Cambria. It is hard to believe that we will not see her anymore, but she lived a long and very good life. I feel so bad for her family... it is hard to switch into vacation mode...
