Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

... After the tour we looked at the space artefacts and watched a few movies/documentaries. There isn't as much to see and do at the center compared to Kennedy so we left at about 3pm a little disappointed (spoiled perhaps at going to Kennedy first). For dinner we got some Chinese food and called it a night. The Chinese good wasn't that good - Sam had Mongolian Chicken (lots of onion) and I had sweet and sour pork (too sweet, or not enough sour ...

... a weekend so the traffic was not too bad. Seabrook is a really nice seaside town. For dinner we found an independent restaurant called Seabrook Classic Cafe. Sam had crab cakes and I had chicken schnitzel, and we shared a homemade key lime pie for dessert. The food was really yummy and there were lots of locals both eating in and taking out so it was a good ...

Note: Deviating from the original post, I will now start in Yorktown, VA on Labor Day rather than Ocean City, NJ to save 5 days travel time.

... ask about washing our clothes. We met Taunia, she owns the ranch and 2 others with her husband John and their three older daughters. She seemed really nice but very laid back. She didn't help settle our city slicker Nicole's nerves with telling her she has been the only one to be bitten by a snake and it was at our confederate house around this time as its peak snake time. We booked in horse riding at 10am tomorrow and skeet shooting ...

Walked to a little bakery for breakfast this morning and had wonderful streudal. Walked to Mathias church, the funicular, and the President's house. We visited the hospital in the rock. This hospital was used during World War II to treat the German and Hungarian soldiers. It is built into the side of the mountain under the old castle. Homes on the hill had a cave system under them where they used to store food and wine. They decided to connect these abandon caves ...
