We had breakfast at the hotel this morning. I had a waffle slathered in syrup, blueberry yogurt and a hard boiled egg also slathered in syrup to start my day. I also drank a cup of coffee and a cup of orange juice which is always a risky endeavour when you plan to ride for 200 kms before stopping for a break. Not just freedom from money, but more importantly, the freedom from stress and the freedom to do what I want to do! The GPS took us on all back roads coming home and then into a loop around Hass rd, Windsor Castle rd and some other road hence the title of this blog - we needed to reset it and pretend were going to DC until we got onto a numbered route Gabrielle was familiar with.

... with my dinner, which I just drank :) .... thank you Tramp Dad again - what an awesome gesture, taking time to turn around and help us have a great evening! I hope these, and the other Trail Angels know how much of a difference their kindness makes to us - it is not just a one time "thank you for the soda/food or conversation.".........we all remember everyone, and talk about the kindness that you do for us regularly. ... with the heat, and as much as I hate to do it - he is going back home tomorrow. I can't risk hurting him with heat issues, 12 years old - he just can't safely handle it anymore :( . At least I had a few days with him by my side :) He will be missed! Friday, June 20 2014 A long flat 15 miles of hiking today!
