Going to see my mom in New York hoping for a good time.
Today was another beautiful day with sun shining on falling leaves. Beau and I walked past the "No Trespassing" sign onto Lowes' empty field. We’d always wanted to go over there, but the grass was always so tall, we couldn’t. They have cut the grass or at least mashed it down so today was our day. We didn’t find anything, but we did enjoy the adventure. He bounded thru the tall wet grass and had a great ...

The flight was uneventful. Good for me, but bad for the blog. I think I’ll wait until something exciting – or even vaguely interesting – happens before I publish it for the world to see. Greensboro did look pretty from the air. Even though it was raining, the trees were colorful. Mother isn’t feeling well so I don’t think we’ll make it to the mountains this trip.
Packed up and headed out around 5 pm, a full 5 hours afer my original departure time. Oh well, departure days are generally hectic. Daily sesh then headed out to scoop Ryan up. Met up with Christa and Sumner, equipped Betsy (my car) with a roof bag, and headed down to the beach for a picture together. Standing with our feet in the Atlantic Ocean, we snapped the shot and headed out for the open road.
I called backseat.

... its former state (i.e. tan 1970's microwaves). The fun part (or at least initially) was realizing that all of the rooms had themes. Our room was the Demon Deacon room. The Demon Deacon is the mascot for Wake Forest, which was literally right down the road from us. So, it was exciting to find out everyone's theme, including our and the Arnold Palmer room. The downside... the Demon Deacon is a creepy creepy figure. There he was in a huge poster ...

When Bruce got up he started the coffee pot and I had three Texas size cups of coffee. It didn't dawn on me until we left for the airport at around 11:00 AM that the coffee probably wasn't decaf - too late now.
I must say that one of the high points of the ride for me was riding our bikes through the halls at Boon Elementary with the students ...

Tomorrow is another big day - I leave for Texas and the Lone Star Circle of Life Tour.
... Wyndham, etc. We hit the road and took us about 7 hours to get back to Gboro. I took the wheel and let Pops rest. We both shared our time under the weather but managed to rally quickly on the trip. And what a trip it was- too many memories, sights and great times to recount yet- need to reflect some more and hopefully the pics/videos will do a little justice. A trip we'll definitely never forget. Thanks Pops.
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States heelsoutwestThis trip was really fun. I really liked actually working on the house and had a great group to work with. I met a lot of really cool people and had a great week. The amount of change in the house was amazing by the time we got done with it. The woman who lived there was a pack rat and had **** all over the place. There were coupons that expired 7 years before in her house haha. But we cleaned up most of the place and redid the entire living room and crawlspace.
