... was 3.65. Today when I checked out I paid part of the bill in cedis I had remaining, and the rest in dollars. To figure the price we used the current hotel exchange rate which is now 3.90. That would mean there are places I could probably go today and find a rate of 4.0. That is an incredibly rapid decline, and not good news for confidence in the economy in Ghana.

... My bag came out quickly and we headed for home.

A good trip, a safe trip, valuable teaching and classes presented and hopefully more encouragement given to the ministry and membership of the Church in Ghana. Now, time to catch up on all that happened while I was gone, and enjoy being back with my family! To those who prayed for the safety and success of the trip, thank you very much. God obviously heard and answered your prayers!

... Now this is certainly not a name I expected to see around THESE parts, so I photographed it and put it up on my Facebook. Within minutes, 2 of my knowledgeable Mississippi network members (and later, a 3rd) educated me (and the rest of my network) that apparently there was a fair population of Jewish settlers to the MS and AR Delta region in the 1800s...little did I ...
