    ... and Geraniums hanging from attractive light poles and in front of many shops, and even larger ceramic pots of mixed plantings dot the street. Now several of the cafés have outdoor seating and the street has benches at intervals. As before, there are a large number of antique and gift shops some of which are only open 4 days pw but the little town appears to be thriving and we find a few little treasures in one such large shop.

    We made it over to the Ward home, and discovered that someone was living in it which made my mom very happy. She described the layout of the home to me, shared some memories-- one about watching TV and another about where she broke her finger while riding her bike, and then we were off again, this time to the Heidelberg Project, a folk art exhibit on the other side of Detroit.
