    ... one lane road to the first house which was just off the road. We slipped and slid up the "driveway" in our leather soled shoes. We had worn dress shoes since we were making home visits, which wasn’t the best choice. It’s a challenge to remember in Kigali on a paved parking lot next to paved roads, that conditions will be quite different up in the village that is miles from any kind of pavement.
