... then I had to go through the security check point yet again with all the usual hassles before walking back to the lounge for another 90 minutes. They had good wifi in the lounge and I was able to talk to Marjolaine for a few minutes, in the morning her time.

From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...
... and then we got her up for cake and presents. Mama was so happy to see Addy's excitement over the minion cake I made her! Once again, so many wonderful and thoughtful presents! A big thanks to Cousin Bennet for helping Addy open her gifts!
She may be too young to remember all this, but hopefully all of these pictures will be fun to look at later! Thanks so much to everyone for being a part of Addy's first birthday at home!!

Checked into our hotel for the night and saw all the reception full of pilots and air stewardesses looking for a room after all the flights being canceled. Conformation we made the right choice not to drive.
Had a beer at the hotel bar where a fellow patron told me that i was from a third world country for supporting soccer "Don't they have hooligans" she asked? They quickly left after i inquired about her definition of a third world ...
