... like s trickle and the water was so polluted and smelly. This evening we had a relaxing family meal and our first proper meal with vegetables which was amazing. After dinner a group of us went to see the movie called The man from UNCLE. The film was ok... But I was so tied that I fell asleep towards the end, Today has been a long, tiring driving day but with a chilled evening in preparation for Pierre's birthday ...

... actually as I had to do something to work off the omelette I had at The Old Pancake House for breakfast. I'm sure it had at least a dozen eggs in it, and probably a block of cheese! Phew. The Old Pancake House itself is a real Chicago gem with everything you want from an old school American diner- ever lasting coffee pots, 12 types of toast or pancakes as a side with every dish, including pancakes, and the looks good ...

... of it and got different pictures than the same blue sky pics I already had from previous trips. Yea for different! In keeping with my theme of "eatting my way through Chicago", we enjoyed dinner at Quartino's! Family style Italian! Yum! As a final good-bye to Chicago, we walked the mile back to the hotel and picked up some more Sprinkles to finish out our time in the Windy City! Until next time ...

... By turning up and seeing the sign!! Thankfully the restaurant next door had some vegetarian options! I had fried tofu with bok choy and mushrooms with a side salad. It wasn't bad at all! Came back to my B&B and skyped granny, mom and then my good friend Dianna!!! Oh it was so nice to skype her and talk to her again! I miss her! She always makes me laugh!!! A good day here in Chicago and let's hope it doesn't pour with rain tomorrow as the forecast says it ...
