... I didn't stay two nights at Omni Parker, but it is the most fascinating and gorgeous hotel I've seen so far. What a history it has! If that sort of thing doesn't interest you I suggest you skip the next part while I indulge my inner history geek.

It's the oldest continuously operating hotel in America, built in 1855 under the ownership of a Mr Henry Parker, who had arrived in Boston in the early 1800's as a young man with literally a dollar to his name.

... left well-stuffed. Walked the chilly streets for a while. Had wanted to go
inside the Public Library, and take daytime photos of buildings around Copley Plaza, but we've run out of time - would definitely like another day in Boston, as we've really liked it, especially as the centre of it is quite compact. Boston's population is only about 625,000, and the whole of Massachusetts about 6.6 million.
Back to room to watch TV while we rested, before calling it a night.
