Today we went to see the Strategic Air and Space Command Museum southwest of Omaha in Ashland, NE, about 30 minutes away. It was very good! When you enter the lobby (on the second floor), the first thing you see is a real SR-71 Blackbird suspended from the ceiling right in front of you. I like SR-71s!
We spent more than 3 hours at the museum and enjoyed the exhibits. There was even ...

Then we drove a mile away to the National World War One Memorial. It was a very informative museum, a variety of exhibits showing uniforms for men and women, uniforms from many of the countries that fought in the war, pistols, rifles, mortars, big guns (mortars and guns look like cannons to me! - Sandy) They had vehicles, airplanes, models of u-boats, mess kits, ...
... El Once". The menu was on the placemat and you wrote which numbers you wanted on the side and tore it off for the waiter. It had a cool vibe and the food was very tasty. Nick sipped a shot of aguardiente then had a beer and I had a beer. We split a soup (crema de alcachofa) and a chicken entre with a creamy garlic sauce and french fries.
Then off to sleep on our rock hard bed and explore Bogota tomorrow!
Today I slept in again. It is really nice to finally wake up in a real bed and be able to get in a real shower with more than 3 minutes of warm water. I ate a late breakfast and then we headed to the Omaha Zoo. I remember going to this zoo as a kid with my grandma when we visited my aunt. The Omaha Zoo is over ...
