    We left the park and crossed into Texas, of course stopping at the visitors' center for maps. The traffic through Fort Worth was terrible! When we finally made it home to Austin we were greeting by our loving husbands and a beautiful dinner that they prepared, complete with lovely table setting and flowers! Aren't we the lucky gals!?

    ... casino, but not right at it. So we wound up in Thackerville, OK.

    Getting to Oklahoma was a challenge. Just north of Temple, I-35 was virtually shut down because of an incident some 12 miles up the road. It took an hour and 20 minutes to do those 12 miles! By the time we got to Thackerville we'd been on the road over 7 hours. We were so glad to finally get there we weren't even remotely interested in unhooking the toad and going ...

    ... at me and just said "Dude, we gotta get out of here." We were at the bottom of a hill and right by the Lake and there was a good 6 inches of rain water outside our tent.     ... but aside from talking and asking a lot of questions and offering me his leftover onion rings (which I declined), he loved what little bit of the show he managed to see since he was leaving the tent every five minutes for a smoke.
