We left the park and crossed into Texas, of course stopping at the visitors' center for maps. The traffic through Fort Worth was terrible! When we finally made it home to Austin we were greeting by our loving husbands and a beautiful dinner that they prepared, complete with lovely table setting and flowers! Aren't we the lucky gals!?

Ten wheels down? Six on the motorhome, four on the "toad" - the pickup truck we tow behind the motorhome.
We left Austin this morning - underway at last! We're planning to progress north at 250-300 miles per day, which doesn't sound like much in a car going 75-80 mph. But, in a 40 foot 6 inch motorhome pulling a toad (the combo being about 63 feet in length overall), going about 65 ...

Also located within the area is the Chickasaw Nation Cultural Center. We attended a full days activities that included a active 'model village', Native Indians performed meaningful dances [like the Bear Dance], and finally, a huge museum ...
