Day three was a day of shopping! Costco, Sawgrass Mills Mall a stop at the Rainforest Café for a late lunch and then back to hotel for a swim.

We wandered down to Coconuts Bahama Grill in an attempt to find a seafood dinner only to find it was a two and half hour wait to get a table! So, off to Quarterdeck for ...

In a very touristy fashion we left the parkade without doing enough trip planning only to be welcomed on the outside by a barrage of signs for freeways that blended cash only tolls, pass tolls and untolled freeways. We were warned we'd be charged 25 USD for using the pass tolls, so we decided to play it safe and stick to regular roads. Well, that landed us a very scenic tour of the many ...

... at some service centres and sampled Dunkin' Donuts for morning tea and Wendy's for lunch. We were hoping to go to a wildlife centre on the way but we ran out of time and so went straight to the hotel.

Towards the end, we drove through some rather dodgy areas of Fort Lauderdale. We had no idea that there was so much poverty there, we thought the area would have been filled with rich retirees. We were scared when we had to stop at traffic lights even though the doors ...
