We figured being in Missouri we needed to stop by Kansas City for some amazing BBQ since the city is known for it!! We stopped at.... We ordered 4 huge meals and shared between the four of us!! We don't think we could eat at another BBQ place again that is how good it was!! After this we drove to a town in the middle of no where (3 hours east of Denver) on I-70 West in Kansas State next to a town called Kanarado (we loved this name) and got a hotel to get some shut ...
... my meal (took a doggie bag home) and then had a piece of lemon meringue cheesecake. It was the best piece of cheesecake that I have ever had. I finished the whole piece off. Jonathan took his home; maybe I can help him eat it tomorrow? Whilst we were eating our meal outside, a really annoying busker was blasting away on the trumpet. Jonathan thought that he may be drunk. Even the waiters were laughing at him. Went back to the hotel to do laundry - very exciting ...
... displays were not working and neither was the film which would have kept me there for the day. It was attached to the Negro League Baseball Museum - which was interesting and Jonathan loves baseball, so we took a look at that too. Was also really good. Apparently we were not allowed to take pictures - but I only figured that out once we left the Jazz Museum. Next we went to the Kepler Art Museum, except their was a ...
... but earlier than if we had waited for the airline to fly us.
With a little "paper work", I got:
1) United to refund all bag fees
2) United refunded a small amount of money for the flight from Denver to Kansas City
3) AGI travel insurance to pay for the rental car!
What a way to end a fabulous trip!
